Fiddy’s career isn’t so hot, but his crib is blazin’.
As reported in the NY Post, 50 Cent’s $2.4 million Long Island home burned down in the early morning on May 30.
50 Cent (née Curt Jackson) did not reside at the Long Island dwelling; it was occupied by his ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins, who happens to be engaged in a bitter legal dispute with the rapper over who has rightful ownership. Tompkins filed a lawsuit recently claiming Jackson promised her the house and that he is now trying to evict her and their 10-year-old son.
To add even more drama, the fire has been deemed suspicious by Dix Hills Fire Chief Larry Feld, and it is now being investigated by the Suffolk County arson squad. Tompkins, two of her children, and three unidentified guests were present during the blaze; all suffered smoke inhalation and are in stable condition.
And to top it off, Tompkin’s lawyer, Paul Castadonis, described the dispute over the home as “extremely, extremely contentious” and mentioned an “extremely dangerous” incident involving the two in his Manhattan office on Monday.
